Hurricane Maria …

As I was leaving the Orlando Airport tonight with my customer, I held the elevator door for a mom and dad with two small children as they rushed in. Their faces beamed extra large smiles as the mom shouted out to my customer, “Are you just coming in?”

“Yes, from Ireland,” my customer answered.

My first thought was wow these folks are pretty excited, it must be their first time coming to Disney World. The mom and dad looked like they just wanted to burst with excitement. In turn, I asked where they were coming in from. Simultaneously they shouted, “Puerto Rico! We were the first flight to leave the island!”

After a few short exchanges about the island’s condition, our elevator reached its destination. Both my customer and I couldn’t grasp the overwhelming reality those folks had just been through.
